CONSUMER GOODS SAFETY ORDINANCE - SECT 12
Testing of consumer goods
(1) A person may, at his own expense, have consumer goods tested by an
approved laboratory to determine whether or not they comply with the
general safety requirement or an approved standard or a safety standard or
safety specification established by regulation.
(2) The Commissioner may, where he has purchased or seized consumer goods,
have them tested by the Government Chemist to determine whether or not they
comply with the general safety requirement or an approved standard or a
safety standard or safety specification established by regulation. (Enacted
