Secretariat and Secretary General

PART IV

MISCELLANEOUS

(1) The Secretariat shall consist of-

   (a)  the Secretary General, who shall be appointed by the Commission; and

   (b)  the other staff employed by the Commission in exercise of its power
        under section 10(1)(b).

(2) The Secretary General shall be the chief executive of the Secretariat and
shall be responsible to the Chairman for the administration of the
Secretariat.

(3) The Secretary General shall be the Clerk to the Council. (Amended 115 of
1997 s. 8)

(4) If the Secretary General is unable by reason of absence from Hong Kong or
incapacity to perform his functions or if for any period the office is vacant,
the Commission may appoint a person to act in the place of the
Secretary General. (Enacted 1994)
