EDUCATION ORDINANCE - SECT 40AQ

Nomination of independent manager

(1) The incorporated management committee of a school may nominate such number
of persons for registration as independent manager of the school as may be
provided for in the constitution of the committee.

(2) The following persons shall not be nominated under subsection

(1)-

   (a)  a teacher or (where applicable) specialist staff of the school;

   (b)  a parent of a current pupil of the school;

   (c)  an alumnus of the school; or

   (d)  a person who is-

        (i)    a member;

        (ii)   the spouse or a grand-parent, parent, brother, sister, child or
               grand-child of a member; or

        (iii)  an employee, of the governing body (however described) of the
               sponsoring body of the school. (PART IIIB added 27 of 2004 s.
