VOLUNTEER AND NAVAL VOLUNTEER PENSIONS ORDINANCE - SECT 4

Functions and powers of Board

(1) The Board shall perform such functions as are imposed or conferred on it
under this Ordinance.

(2) The Board may do all such things as are necessary for, or incidental or
conducive to, the better performance of its functions under this Ordinance,
and in particular but without limiting the generality of the foregoing may-

   (a)  establish such committees as the Board sees fit to assist the Board in
        the performance of its functions and the exercise of its powers under
        this Ordinance;

   (b)  appoint such persons as the Board sees fit, including persons who are
        not members of the Board, to any of the committees established under
        paragraph (a);

   (c)  liaise with or consult such persons or authorities (whether in Hong
        Kong or elsewhere) as the Board considers necessary or expedient for
        the performance of its functions and the exercise of its powers under
        this Ordinance;

   (d)  publish from time to time and make available for inspection
        explanatory notes and guidelines in respect of the payment of any
        grant, whether by way of pension, gratuity or other allowance, under
        this Ordinance. (Replaced 56 of 1997 s. 5)
