Effect of memorials recorded on microfilm

Where pursuant to regulations made under section 28 the memorial of any deed,
conveyance or other instrument in writing, or judgment, is recorded on
microfilm-

   (a)  the microfilm record of the memorial shall be treated for all purposes
        as the original memorial; and

   (b)  the registration of any such deed, conveyance or other instrument in
        writing, or judgment, registered prior to the date of commencement* of
        the Land Registration (Amendment) Ordinance 1980 (56 of 1980), shall
